Originally known as Forbes House, this house was named after Major Patrick Forbes, a British colonial officer who led the Pioneer Column into Zimbabwe in 1890.
The name reflected a period of history when colonial figures were honoured within educational institutions.

Zimbabwean Heritage

Today, Runde House proudly represents Zimbabwean identity and heritage.
The Runde River (formerly Lundi) flows through the Lowveld and joins the Save River, a vital natural landmark known for its beauty and continuity.
